How to add users to groups

šŸ¤“ Who can do this? You will need to be an admin user in Atlan to manage group membership.

Add users to a group

To add many users to one group:

  1. From the left menu on any screen, clickĀ Admin.
  2. UnderĀ Workspace, or from the tiles, click Groups.
  3. To the right of a group row, click the user button.
  4. Check all users to add to the group.
  5. Click theĀ Save button.

To add many groups to one user:

  1. From the left menu on any screen, clickĀ Admin.
  2. UnderĀ Workspace, or from the tiles, clickĀ Users.
  3. To the right of a user row, click the group button.
  4. Check all groups to add to the user.
  5. Click theĀ Add button.

Map users to SSO groups

Atlan supports configuring SSO group mappings. You will first need to create groups in Atlan that correspond to the groups you want to map from your SSO provider to Atlan.

To automatically assign users to Atlan groups based on their SSO groups, refer to the documentation for supported SSO providers:
