Atlan creates lineage by fusing resources and methods:
- Databases, dashboards, and other tools are examples of assets that show the inputs and outputs of processes.
- The actions that transfer or transform data among the assets are represented by processes. In Atlan's graphical perspective, processes are the lines that separate the assets.
Additionally, Atlan gets asset lineage data through the Tableau APIs.
