Can I add duplicate glossary terms?

Each term in a glossary should be unique. Duplicate terms in the same glossary may cause confusion rather than provide the context that users need.

However, you can create terms with the same name and add them to separate glossaries. This can be helpful for terms that are common across different domains or teams — for example, the term Metrics can belong to the Finance, Marketing, and Product glossaries. In this case, when a user searches for the term Metrics, the glossary name will provide additional context, such as whether it belongs to the finance, marketing, or product team glossary.
